Dr. Paul MacKoul, MD is an esteemed healthcare professional, driven by the goal of providing value-based care – top-of-the-line service at minimal cost. He is the Co-founder of the Center for Innovative GYN Care, a leader in creating new technologies specifically applicable to free-standing surgery centers, and Chief Executive Officer of Tower Surgical Partners which specializes in expanding single specialty GYN surgery centers.
To understand how procedures can be advanced and changed for improved outcomes, Dr. MacKoul completed a fellowship in Gynecological Oncology, the highest level of surgical training available in the field and focused on complex gynecological problems and cancers. With experience working with several experienced GYN Oncologists and as Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Washington Hospital Center (WHC) in Washington DC, he prioritized laparoscopic or minimally invasive surgery to ward off large incisions and enable day surgeries with faster recovery times – critical relief for cancer patients who were often uninsured or faced dire medical or social circumstances.
